Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1 cup soya granules


  • 2 tbsp. whole wheat flour


  • 1 onion, chopped


  • 1 tomato, chopped


  • 1 tsp. ginger-garlic, grated


  • 1-2 green chilies, chopped


  • 2-3 tbsp. coriander leaves, chopped


  • 1/2 tsp. salt or to taste


  • 1/2 tsp. turmeric powder


  • 1 tsp. coriander-cumin powder


  • 1/2 tsp. garam masala powder


  • 1 tbsp. red chili flakes


  • 1/2 tsp. pepper powder


  • 1 tsp. lime juice


  • 1 egg


  • 4-5 tomato slices


  • 3-4 tbsp. oil to shallow fry or as required

Directions

  • Soak the soya granules in hot water for 10 minutes. Squeeze out the water and blend till smooth. Mix with the rest of the ingredients (except tomato slices and oil).
  • Divide into large equal size portions. Give a shape of a patty and place a slice of tomato on each.
  • Shallow fry them in some oil till done on both sides, Drain on a kitchen towel and serve with any homemade chutney of your choice.
